Pain Free Laser

By using pulses of laser light, the hair follicle is damaged for permanent hair reduction.   Unlike other methods, such as waxing and shaving, a laser hair removal device can offer a  virtually pain-free solution with long-lasting results for most skin types. The hair will become finer and softer becoming less visible and the growth will slow down more and more with each treatment. 

• Laser hair removal with the Initia Diode is sutable for most skin types however you will need a consultation and patch test to determine your suitability. 
• Clients with grey, white, light blonde and some red hair in the area of treatment are not suitable for laser. The Laser is attracted to melanin (colour) and these hair types have little or no pigment therefore it cannot detect or treat them. 

• Shave treatment area at least 12-24 hours prior to your treatment.
• Avoid chemical peels or laser resurfacing treatments at least 4 weeks before your treatment.
• Ensure no fake tan is present on the skin.
• Avoid excessive sun exposure on the area being treated two weeks prior (including sun beds or tanning drugs).
• Avoid using topical creams/moisturisers, deodorants, aftershaves or perfumes to the area being treated before the appointment.
• Do not wax, eplilate, thread, use depilatory creams or pluck hairs four weeks prior to laser treatment and for the duration of your laser treatment.
• Wear loose clothing to your appointment.  

Results vary between each individual due to various factors such as body site, ethnic origin, age and hormones, however a minimum of 6 treatments is usually required for best results.  Sessions are spaced approximately 6 weeks apart for the body & 4 weeks for the face. Results vary between each individual and you may require top up sessions. A consultation and patch test is required at least 7 days prior to treatment.
